Design and Management of Multi-functional Exclusive Lane for the Integrated Service to Various Vehicles with Priority

چکیده
Priority to emergency vehicles, buses, high occupancy vehicles (HOVs), and priced low (LOVs) is critical their efficiency reliability, where multi-functional exclusive lane (MFEL) serves as a salient element with independent operation environment. To enhance MFEL utility balance the demand between prioritized non-prioritized this research proposes an optimization model for design management comprehensively serve trip modes various priority levels distinct patterns, considering delay from access, bus stop dwelling, signalized intersections, ride-sharing. Case study follows calibrate validate proposed under varying passenger vehicle frequency, finding that may reduce total travel time in all scenarios especially traffic demand. Sensitivity analyses test effect of road count on management, more lanes flexible accommodate increased without increasing HOV or LOV price rate. Moreover, higher assists avoiding significant increase rate promote equity. This lay foundation implementation mitigate congestion transport sustainability.
